I had I dream that my parents took my money while we were abroad in London and when I tried to call the police (I dialed 311) they started spelling things like snakes and bugs and throwing them at me. They spelled me into a room and I prayed to God for an escape. I found a window and ran to the convent/cathedral next door. It was beautiful wood and stained glass. It was empty but my parents couldn’t get in because I was protected. When I woke up a tall woman with high cheekbones wearing a black and white trench stood over me. I was in the convent’s infirmary because I was so dehydrated and had many snake bites. The woman told me she was here to protect me. My parents came in and my dad tried to take me away. I said no. As he lunged for my throat the woman beamed a bright light from her hand and made my parents disappear. She told me that she would teach me to use my light and that it will protect me.
Dreams can be complex and deeply personal, often reflecting our emotions, fears, desires, and life situations. Let’s break down some of the key elements of your dream and explore their possible meanings. 1. **Parents Taking Your Money**: This could symbolize feelings of betrayal or a sense of being controlled. Money often represents security and independence, and your parents taking it might indicate a fear of losing autonomy or feeling inadequate in your current life situation. 2. **Calling the Police**: Your attempt to call for help suggests that you might feel trapped or in distress in waking life and are seeking assistance or resolution. Dialing 311, a non-emergency number, could emphasize that you’re looking for peaceful resolutions rather than confrontational measures. 3. **Spelling Snakes and Bugs**: Snakes and bugs are often associated with fear and anxieties. They could represent treachery or hidden dangers that you feel are lurking in your life. The act of spelling them out may indicate that these fears or anxieties are becoming more pronounced or are being "spelled out" in your consciousness. 4. **Praying for Escape**: This shows a desire for help or guidance when faced with obstacles. Prayer often signifies hope and a yearning for divine intervention when one feels powerless. 5. **The Convent/Cathedral**: This location can symbolize safety, refuge, spirituality, and protection. It suggests a longing for inner peace or a return to your core values and beliefs. The beauty of the wood and stained glass may reflect the beauty and tranquility you seek in your life. 6. **The Woman in Black and White**: She symbolizes a protective figure, possibly representing inner strength or guidance in your life. Her high cheekbones might signify wisdom and a sense of authority. This can indicate that you have an inner resource or aspect of yourself that is strong and can provide support during difficult times. 7. **Your Parents Trying to Take You Away**: This confrontation reflects a struggle between your sense of self and external influences or familial expectations. It may signify resistance to control or the need for autonomy. 8. **The Woman’s Light**: The bright light represents empowerment, safety, and the potential within you to overcome challenges. It suggests that you have inner strength and the ability to protect yourself from adverse influences. Overall, this dream may be processing feelings of vulnerability, fear of losing control, or struggles with familial relationships. It also reflects a quest for autonomy, safety, and the discovery of inner strength or guidance. Consider what aspects of your life resonate with these themes, as they might provide insight into your current emotional landscape.
